Two brothers, 25 and 27 years old, have been arrested by Tirana Police after an incident they had with another person, who they allegedly threatened with a firearm.
Police announced that the arrested are Ledio and Ronaldo Matranxhi. According to police, they are suspected of threatening a 32-year-old man with a firearm in the area known as Kthesa e Kamza.
"The services of Police Commissariat No. 6, in cooperation with the Operational Forces of the Tirana DVP and with Commissariat No. 7, after receiving the notification that in the place called "Kthesa e Kamza" a citizen had threatened a 32-year-old man with a firearm, during a conflict between them, organized the work and intervened quickly to capture the suspected perpetrator.
As a result of well-coordinated actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
LM, 27 years old, for the criminal offenses of “Threat” and “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”. This citizen is suspected of having threatened citizen AR, 32 years old, with a firearm during a conflict for weak motives.
RM, 25 years old, for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", after allegedly hiding the firearm used by his brother, immediately after the incident.
During the search of the 27-year-old's apartment, police found the firearm used in the incident, a quantity of combat ammunition and the vehicle, which were seized as material evidence.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further action," the Police announced.
