
A 26-year-old Albanian man was arrested by Italian police on charges of attempted aggravated robbery.
The Albanian was arrested by officers of the Brescia Police Headquarters' Flying Squad, which received two calls for help within a few minutes on the 112 number.
In the first case, a man reported being held by several Albanian nationals near the Mompiano metro parking lot, while in the second, a woman reported an attack on her minor daughter near the stairs of the same metro station, by a man who slapped her in the face in an attempt to steal her mobile phone.
Thanks to the timely intervention of patrol teams and the cooperation of several citizens who had witnessed the violent incident, the reported young man was identified as the perpetrator of the attempted robbery of the 15-year-old girl.
Officers who arrived at the scene also determined that the 26-year-old Albanian had a criminal record related to immigration.
The Albanian was arrested by State Police personnel for attempted aggravated robbery.
