Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in flagrante delicto, suspected of 2 thefts committed in the city of Laç, within a 24-hour period.
The 26-year-old, identified as Francesko Doçi, was caught red-handed while driving a stolen car, after the owner of the latter reported it, with the intention of selling it in another district. Further investigations revealed that the 26-year-old, on 13.06.2025, had broken the window of another vehicle, in Laç, and had stolen several items from inside it.
The stolen vehicle and other stolen items are seized as material evidence.
"Immediately after the report of citizen AB, for the theft of his "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle, parked in the city of Laç, the Police organized investigative actions to locate the vehicle and identify the perpetrator.
Thanks to the information collected, the vehicle was located in the city of Mamurras, where the suspected perpetrator, FD, 26 years old, resident of Laç, was caught red-handed while attempting to leave with the vehicle, with the intention of selling it in another district.
Further investigations revealed that this same citizen, on 13.06.2025, had broken the window of another vehicle, owned by citizen BK, parked in Laç, and had stolen several items from inside it.
At the end of the procedural actions, 26-year-old FD was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Theft" and "Destruction of property". The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further actions," the police announced.
