A 28-year-old man from Tirana has been arrested in Vlora, suspected of renting an apartment which he had adapted for practicing prostitution.
According to the investigation, he was working with a 51-year-old Chinese woman, who is wanted. Three Chinese girls were found in the apartment, who are suspected of being used for prostitution for payment.
"Based on checks based on police intelligence information, with the aim of ascertaining and cracking down on cases of renting premises for prostitution, the Trafficking Investigation specialists of the Vlora Police Department have developed the police operational plan codenamed "Secret Flat", as a result of which another case in this field was cracked."
During the operation, citizen FS, 28 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in Adult Persons" and "Exploitation for Prostitution", committed in collaboration. Citizen FG, 51 years old, of Chinese nationality, was also wanted for the same criminal offenses.
The investigation revealed that these two citizens, in collaboration with each other, had rented an apartment in the "10 Korriku" neighborhood, which they had adapted for the development of illegal prostitution activities.
In this environment, they exploited three foreign citizens of Chinese nationality for prostitution in return for payment, to whom they had offered shelter and provided clients for the practice of this illegal activity.
Following the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "Prostitution", against three foreign citizens HG, BA and LM, who were exploited by these two citizens and engaged in prostitution for payment.
Work continues to fully document this criminal activity and to capture the wanted citizen.
"The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions," the police announced.
