The victim is suspected of cutting off the path of a "Benz" vehicle, which was moving from Poçem towards Levan.
A serious fatal accident was recorded this evening on the Levan-Tepelena highway, at the place called "Cakran Intersection".
According to information, two vehicles, a "Benz" and a "Peugeot", collided with each other. As a result of the collision, a 16-year-old identified as Oktavio Merdanaj, was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old did not survive his injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
From the information so far, it is known that the victim (the 16-year-old who was driving the vehicle without a license), is suspected of having cut off the path of a "Benz" vehicle, which was moving from Poçem towards Levan, at the moment when the 16-year-old was exiting the highway from Cakrani. The collision was fatal for the 16-year-old who lost his life as a result.
Meanwhile, the Police services and the investigation team are at the scene and are working to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of this fatal accident.
“ At around 19:00, on the "Levan-Tepelena" road axis, in the village of Cakran, the vehicle driven by citizen SB, 30 years old, collided with the vehicle driven by minor citizen O. M, about 16 years old.
As a result of the collision, citizen O. M. died during transport to the hospital.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is carrying out actions to clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident ," the police announced.
