The victim is a citizen with the initials IS, around 30 years old. According to preliminary data, he is suspected of having psychological problems.
Immediately after the incident, police services and the investigation team arrived at the scene, which began actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.

This is not the first time that employees of the State Police or the Republican Guard have ended their lives with their service weapons.
We recall that just a few weeks ago, a Guard employee in Tirana committed suicide with the firearm he was carrying in the course of his duty.
"On 14.06.2026, at around 01:25, in Fresk, in an apartment, it is suspected that citizen IS, 30 years old, a police officer, committed suicide with his service weapon.
"The investigative group, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the case," the police announced.
