An opposition that seeks people and a people that seeks opposition

Of course he is with Orban...

I don't know why Sali Berisha reminds the democrats of the elections in Hungary. It's not forbidden to mention them, but there are objections from both sides.

He was first opposed by his ally Orbán, the only European leader who ignored Berisha's "non-women" from the US and met him offering him support, even political asylum. As you saw in Berisha's court file, his family bought a villa in Budapest to have for "doomsday."

So he is still unclear whether it is good that Orbán lost or bad. Does he feel sorry that he left or did he do well?

Of course he is with Orban. And the reason is not that Orban did not shut down TikTok, or did not take the stamp of his "Lul Basha" who defeated him, but that Orban fulfilled all the reasons why democrats could believe in the Trumpism, Putinism and authoritarianism of an elderly leader like Sali Berisha.

Above all, Berisha is with Orban because in Hungary the only explanation for the change was the new leader. He was right-wing, an Orban collaborator, from the same political wing, but he was young and he gave hope that people experienced him as a leader who was no longer a hostage to the past.

After that, all the alibis about the "regime", the "autocracy", the "stealing of votes", etc. fell away. There was no need for Molotov cocktails, protests, or "pulpit"-type torture where you have to listen to five crazy people out of four people speaking.

So Berisha should remove the Hungarian case from his political vocabulary. Hungary should be seen as hope by the democrats, not Berisha.

They should be inspired by Hungary to find a new leader within themselves, seriously challenge Berisha, and overthrow the government. Or, conversely, wait until the Socialists overthrow Edi Rama and enjoy four more terms with his successors.

Until then, they can entertain themselves with protests like today's, with participation that is below the lowest level of a small protest, of those that even civil society can organize. And this comes after 40 days of preparation, pathetic appeals, ridiculous warnings and finally financial mobilization.

Until the day of change comes, we will have an opposition desperately seeking to rally people around a leader the people need as a bodyguard and an Albanian society that is looking for an opposition that can bring about change. The only one who has been excluded from this chance is Sali Berisha. And those who believe they lost to TikTok.
