Economic expert Ardian Civici has spoken about changes in the euro level during the electoral campaign.
According to him, at this moment no significant changes have been seen and that the main influencing factor is the very large amount of euros. Civici stated that if there are any impacts, the lek will strengthen and the euro will weaken.
"I think we are dealing with two phenomena: the exchange rate and the impact of the campaign, which in some way provokes consumption and increases inflation."
In relation to the euro, it should be considered a new stable equilibrium for several months, if no structural shocks occur. The campaign, despite the expenses and financing, does not seem to have an impact on the amount of euros spent.
"As for stimulating consumption or specific consumption, it is happening, although on a smaller scale, and it will have its effect. The main factor that influences it is the very large amount of euros in relation to the lek, these campaigns are not increasing the amount of euros to have an impact. If it has an impact, it will strengthen the lek and weaken the euro," he told "Abc News".
