US President Donald Trump has sharply attacked the American media for the way they are reporting on the US-Israeli war against Iran, declaring that reports that Tehran is "doing well" militarily against Washington constitute "virtual treason".
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that the media is "helping the enemy," without specifying which reports or media outlets he was referring to.
" They are aiding and abetting the enemy! This only gives Iran false hope when there should be none. These are cowardly Americans who are against our country ," the US president declared.
Trump further added that " only losers, ungrateful people, and fools can argue against America ."
The US president and other members of his administration have repeatedly criticized the US media for critical coverage of the war with Iran.
According to CNN, which cites anonymous officials familiar with the matter, Trump has personally pressured the US Department of Justice to issue subpoenas against journalists reporting on the war, in order to identify their sources.
