Russia strikes Kiev with missiles and drones, 1 killed and 15 injured!

One person was killed and 15 others were injured, including a child, in a Russian missile and drone attack on Kiev on the night of November 29. Airstrike alerts were activated across the country overnight as Russia launched dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones toward the capital.

The Russians fired dozens of missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, at the capital again in the early hours of the morning. Damage was reported at at least six locations across Kiev, including high-rise residential buildings.

Several residential buildings, including a 25-story building and a 14-story building, as well as cars, were damaged to varying degrees.

Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said a 13-year-old child was among the injured and four people were taken to hospital.

Earlier this week, a similar attack on Kiev killed seven people, Ukrainian officials said. The latest bombing came as Ukrainian negotiators were preparing for talks with American officials this weekend on a revised U.S. peace plan.

Saturday's attack comes amid pressure from President Donald Trump for both sides to accept a draft peace plan, which initially leaned heavily toward Moscow's demands. It was later revised during talks between Ukrainian and American negotiators in Geneva.

On Thursday, President Vladimir Putin doubled down on his key demands to end the war, saying Russia would halt its offensive only if Ukrainian troops withdrew from territory claimed by Moscow.

Putin also confirmed that a US delegation, including special envoy Steve Witkoff, is expected to arrive in Moscow in the first half of next week to discuss the draft peace plan at the center of the negotiations.

Zelensky announced in a video address on Thursday that Ukrainian and American delegations would meet "to translate the points secured in Geneva into a form that puts us on the path to peace and security guarantees."
