Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has sharply criticized war with Iran during a Democratic Party event in Las Vegas, calling the conflict "simply stupid."
During her speech to Democratic supporters, Harris stated that the American people do not want this war and emphasized that the intervention was not authorized by the US Congress.
"When you look at this war in Iran, which the American people don't want, which wasn't authorized by Congress... it shouldn't have been started... it's all just nonsense," she said.
Harris paused before using harsher words, then burst into laughter and addressed the crowd with the joke: "You made me do this!"
The former Democratic candidate, who lost the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump, warned about the economic costs of the conflict, emphasizing that the war is directly affecting the rise in inflation in the United States.
She also criticized the way the current administration is managing the crisis, hinting that escalating tensions could have serious consequences for both the American economy and international stability.
