22 people have been injured after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey. The epicenter of the quake was in the town of Sindirgi in the Balikesir province, western Turkey.
The 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:48 p.m. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency, AFAD, no immediate casualties were reported, although several aftershocks were recorded, some of which were felt as far away as the capital, Istanbul.
At least three uninhabited buildings and a two-story shop collapsed in Sindirgi, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said. The structures had already been damaged by a previous earthquake. 22 people were injured, but fortunately there were no deaths.

"So far, we have not identified any loss of life, but we are continuing our assessment," Sindirgi district administrator Dogukan Koyuncu told state-run Anadolu agency.
Sindirg was hit by another 6.1-magnitude earthquake in August, killing one person and injuring dozens. The region has been hit by regular aftershocks since then.
