Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has harshly attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his message for the Eid al-Adha holiday, which was held near the Camlica Grand Mosque in Istanbul.
Erdogan spoke at length about the situation in Gaza and Palestine, calling for unity in the Muslim world and declaring that Netanyahu "will learn the lesson he deserves."
After participating in the Eid prayer, the Turkish president wished Muslim believers health, peace, and unity.
"May Allah enable us to reach many more holidays with health, well-being and joy. I wish that our unity and solidarity will be permanent," Erdoğan declared.
In a harsh tone towards the Israeli prime minister, he told reporters:
"The events in Palestine and Gaza constitute a special attitude and test for us during this holiday. I believe that this tyrant called Netanyahu will learn the lesson he deserves in front of the Muslims of the world. We hope to see this reaction as soon as possible and experience it all together."
Erdogan added that he expects "4 to 5 million Muslims" to personally experience this reaction and stressed that the Eid al-Adha holiday should serve as a moment of unity for the Islamic world.
