The Dutch researcher, controversial to many, Frank Hoogerbeets, who deals with the movements of the planets and according to them expresses his assessments of whether there will be a strong seismic event in any part of the planet, warned on Wednesday evening about a critical astronomical configuration, which, according to his theory linking the movement of the planets to earthquakes on Earth, could lead to strong seismic activity.
In a post on his official channels and social media accounts, he said "Astronomical alignment of the planets and the Moon in the next two days. Possibility of stronger seismic activity," accompanying the warning with an image showing Mercury, Uranus and Mars, as well as their angles of approach to Earth.

Hours later, two strong earthquakes struck Venezuela in quick succession on Wednesday evening, causing buildings to collapse in the capital Caracas and La Guaira. Initial images showed rubble and scenes of panic, while authorities reported 32 deaths and around 700 injuries.
Acting President Delcy Rodriguez declared a state of emergency and Caracas' airport was closed due to heavy damage. Schools were also suspended as the quakes caused extensive damage in several states. She said rescue teams from other countries were expected to arrive in the coming hours.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) rated the two earthquakes at 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, making them among the most powerful in the world so far this year, according to the German news agency dpa.
The second, stronger earthquake struck at a shallow depth of about 10 kilometers, raising concerns about serious damage and loss of life.
