A video of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. catching two snakes with his bare hands in Florida has gone viral on social media and has caused widespread reactions in the US.
The US Health Secretary himself posted the footage on social media, writing that he was removing "a couple of Black Racers" from the beachside backyard of his colleague Mehmet Oz in Florida.
In the video, Kennedy is seen approaching the snakes without gloves and shoes, before grabbing them with his hands as they writhe on the ground.

"Bobby, please," a woman can be heard saying in the background, while another asks: "Why?"
Kennedy then holds the snakes up in front of the camera, smiling, even though at one point it appears that one of them bites him.
The Black Racer species is considered non-venomous and usually poses no danger to humans unless provoked, according to the National Park Service.
However, US wildlife protection authorities warned citizens not to imitate Kennedy's action.
