"We Run for Independence"/ "Vlora Half Marathon" takes place, hundreds of runners from the region participate in the race

The Vlora Half Marathon, with the motto "We Run for Independence", returns this year for its 5th edition.

Around 400 runners from Albania and various countries around the world are participating in the activity that has now become a tradition in the coastal city.

The race included three categories: 5, 10 and 21 kilometers, running along the main road axis of the city of Vlora, from Lungomare to the main tourist areas.

The event, organized as part of the November celebrations by the Municipality of Vlora, was welcomed by the Mayor Brunilda Mersini and the President of the Albanian Sports Council, Fidel Ylli, who appreciated the wide participation and the importance of this sports activity for promoting the city.

The race features three stages at distances of 5, 10 and 21 kilometers, including all the main road axes of Vlora. This activity is expected to continue to be one of the most important end-of-year sporting events in the city of Vlora.
