The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has reacted after the passing of the master of Albanian cinematography, Dhimitër Anagnosti.
While expressing condolences, Veliaj describes this loss as a heavy blow to art, culture and the city of Tirana.
"The passing of the master of Albanian cinematography, Dhimitër Anagnosti, is a great loss for our art and culture, and equally heavy for the city of Tirana.
Tirana lost one of its model citizens, whom it loved so much and for whom it created so many films, which are now part of Albania's precious cinematic history.
A visionary creator like him, who dedicated his life to Albanian film, the art of cinema and the screen, will be remembered for his extraordinary contribution to our national culture.
"Rest in peace, master," Veliaj writes.
