Journalist Artan Hoxha has stated that the new government is closely linked to criminal structures and that control over state institutions is completely concentrated in the hands of Edi Rama.
" He had already received the powers of the mayor, the chief of firefighters, the director of water supply, and the director of forestry. Today, he also received the powers of all ministries ," Hoxha declared, speaking about the concentration of power in Rama.
During the conversation on "Syri TV", Hoxha emphasized that he was not surprised by recent political developments.
" I was not disappointed because it was within expectations and he does not disappoint ," he said ironically.
One of the most serious accusations of the well-known journalist was that of the 'national narcotics operator', which he links to the Tirana-Durrës-Elbasan triangle.
' Last night I mentioned one of the first operators that was created, before we came to this situation of the national water operator, or waste, the national operator created in the country, is the one for narcotics. That triangle that I told you about, Tirana-Durrës-Elbasan, so today in Albania we have a national operator and they are one of the main supporters, financiers, collaborators of this government that we saw today ,' declared Hoxha.
Commenting on the changes in the government cabinet, he suggested that the new names are part of an agreement to maintain balances and control over power.
' The names that have been included in the government are part of an agreement, even if at a distance, that was made to continue ,' said Hoxha.
He noted that one of the most dangerous developments is the transfer of full control of the State Police to the Prime Minister.
' The other thing that attracted attention was the fact that now the State Police will be a direct attribute of the prime minister. If until yesterday he pretended that it was the minister's and they did it without his knowledge, today he appointed the new minister and showed her the limits of what she has ,' the journalist said.
Finally, Hoxha also commented on the position of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, of whom he said that Rama has politically 'dismantled' his entire structure.
' The other element that should not be forgotten is that, if Veliaj was given a funeral in Skanderbeg Square, today he also removed the poster announcing his political death and he did so after dismantling the entire structure of that one ,' said Artan Hoxha.
