Three years of violence, three changed schools and no solution: 11-year-old

A mother from Dimal has reported on the show Fiks Fare that her son, a sixth grade student at the 9-year "Sali Zhuka" school, has been a victim of bullying for three years, despite having changed several schools in an attempt to find a safer environment.

According to her, the bullying started in the third grade, when a teacher first called her "stupid," while later her peers began to insult her with harsh epithets like "faggot," "stupid," or "your mom is on the streets." The boy's mother says that she has repeatedly gone to the Dimal Local Education Office about the situation, but has not received any solution.

She says that even the teachers and the school psychologist have acknowledged that the boy is being bullied, but the situation has continued without any effective intervention. After the boy has changed schools several times, according to the mother, the problem has become even more serious: "The children meet each other again and now they recognize him everywhere with the same labels." In support of the complaint, the woman has made available a video showing the boy being insulted and hit by his peers, material that she says she "can no longer tolerate, especially when they mention his mother."

The Dimal Local Education Office initially admits to the bullying, then denies it in writing.

Journalists also questioned the director of the Dimal Local Education Office, who initially acknowledged the problem and claimed that the child was being bullied. He even accused the mother of "contributing to instability" by deciding to transfer the boy to several different schools.

But, after the official request submitted by email, the director has not maintained the same position. In the written response, he no longer recognizes the bullying as a problem, claiming that the situation has arisen due to the “tense relations of the mother with the teachers”, which according to him has also led to frequent changes of school. However, the ZVA structure promises that the case will be followed up further by the child protection unit, although so far the family says that no concrete measures have been taken.
