Who was Muho Asllani?
Asllani was born in October 1937 in Bërdicë, Shkodra district, into a poor but very patriotic family. His grandfather was killed by Serbs in 1913.
In 1953, he completed 7-year school in his native village (Bërdicë).
After that, he went to the agricultural high school in Lushnje, but only attended for one year and dropped out to return home.
He graduated from the Shkodra Agricultural Technical School in 1958. In 1961 he started the Agricultural Institute and graduated in 1964.
He graduated from the Party School by correspondence in 1968. In November 1971, precisely at the 6th Congress of the Albanian People's Party, he was directly elected a member of the Party's Central Committee, without even passing the candidate stage.
Meanwhile, he also served as Secretary of the Shkodra Party Committee, where Prokop Murra was the first secretary.
On January 3, 1974, he was appointed First Secretary of the Mati District Party Committee. It wasn't long before he was appointed First Secretary of the Kukës District in July of that same year, in 1974.
In May 1976, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture. In March 1979, he was appointed First Secretary of the Burrel Party Committee.
He was First Secretary in Shkodra. In November 1981, at the Eighth Party Congress, he became a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee.
Later, being a member of the Politburo, he was again appointed First Secretary in Durrës.
He was dismissed in 1991 from the Politburo led by Ramiz Alia.
