The eleventh consecutive protest is being held today in Tirana, against the investment in Zvërnec and coincides with the 148th anniversary of the League of Prizren, and this could not go unnoticed by the protesters.
This anniversary has been commemorated by protesters in various ways, the most original of which is the signing of citizens' signatures on a large banner that reads 'the bond is alive'. In this way, protesters compare the Prizren bond of 1878 with the protests of 2026.
We recall that the eleventh day comes after a marathon march the night before, where thousands of citizens stood for hours on the streets of Tirana, passing from the boulevard towards the University Corps area and then returning to the city center.
What is striking these days is the fact that the protest has long since transcended the cause that initially ignited it. In the streets of Tirana, cries are heard not only against the government, but also against the political class as a whole, reflecting a broader dissatisfaction that goes beyond a single issue.
