Journalist Lutfi Dervishi has criticized the government for its management of the oil price situation, emphasizing that promises made over the years have not been fulfilled.
He stated that the argument of the impact of wars on prices has been used repeatedly, but without bringing concrete results.
"Today, it is not just this war that is having these effects. We also have the war in Ukraine... the same promises were made and the same debate took place," Dervishi said.
According to the journalist, since 2022, declarations have been made about protective measures in the hydrocarbon sector, but they have not been implemented. He mentioned the role of Albpetrol, which was envisaged as a key mechanism in times of crisis.
"It was said that Albpetrol would be the main actor... there was talk of reserves for three months, but we have nothing concrete," Dervishi told "A2 CNN".
He also criticized the government's recent initiatives to draft a new law on oil reserves. "The minister comes out and says that the law has been in the works for two years... this is a lie," the journalist said.
Dervishi highlighted the lack of effective policies to protect consumers and the economy. According to him, the situation reflects a repeated pattern of promises without real implementation.
