Speaking about the involvement of Albanians in international drug trafficking, journalist Artan Hoxha brought to attention the downing of the Albanian pilot while distributing cocaine in the Mediterranean. He emphasized that the pilot was part of the Armed Forces and trained in NATO missions, but was suspected of being involved in the transport of cocaine by helicopter.
According to him, the pilot was taking the narcotics from a ship on the high seas and transporting them to land, until the moment when Spanish authorities were forced to shoot it down, as they were unable to stop it in other ways.
