Albania's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Uran Ferizi, has met with politician Nigel Farage to tell him that his claim that "1 in 50 Albanians in Britain is in prison" is completely untrue.
"It's a big lie and yet it's being repeated on GB News and by various politicians," said Ambassador Ferizi, who attended the conference of Faraga's "Reform UK" party yesterday.
According to Feriz, official statistics are being misinterpreted and used to create claims that have no connection to reality.
"The Guardian" writes that the Albanian embassy has disputed the figure of 53,000 Albanians in Britain, which is used as a basis to conclude that "1 in 50" is in prison.

Ferizi stated: “I told him that it was deeply unfair to spread these lies. They are simply not true. I had the impression that he was open when he heard and understood these.”
He also explained to the British politician that Albanians are a good example.
"I also showed him that Albanians are a very good example of people who integrate well in Britain. They work hard, learn the language, customs and rules of the country. I told him that it was deeply unfair for a country that prides itself on justice, and I think he appreciated that," the ambassador concluded.
Ambassador Ferizi's statement came on the same day that Nigel Farage announced that he had planned to meet for lunch with Prime Minister Edi Rama to discuss the issue of deporting Albanian prisoners. Farage provoked yesterday by saying that perhaps when he comes to Albania he will take some Albanian prisoners with him and book a large plane to get as many of them out as possible.
