The assassination attempt in Rinas, November 11, 2025
At around 2:20 PM at the Rinas roundabout, a few meters from the airport, an area with heavy traffic and very slow traffic, countless volleys took the life of Gilmando Dani. His friend Muçi Shaljani, who was with him in the car, died a few days later in hospital. The perpetrators burned the car in a village in Fushë Krujë and have not been heard from since.
November 25th assassination attempt in Lushnje

November 30, 2025, businessman executed in Elbasan
After several assassination attempts, Elbasan put its seal on it yesterday evening.
At around 8:35 p.m., businessman Mondi Mëhalla alias Edmond Hyka was executed in a typical mafia assassination. The 43-year-old lived in Kodra e Diellit in Tirana, but his fuel businesses were mainly in Elbasan. He is the owner of several fuel stations and a taxi service company.
As soon as he left the office and got into his "Range Rover" car, two people approached him and opened fire with a pistol, and two bullets to the head left businessman Mahalla dead on the spot.
Other serious events within November

Former police officer Jeton Lami, the man who last accompanied Ervis Martinaj, was also arrested. He was released a few days later after the court ruled that there was no evidence to keep him in prison.
Also on the morning of Sunday, November 30, a TNT explosion at a house in Vlora shook the city. The target was the family of Gentjan Zoto, who is in prison after being sentenced to 35 years in prison for an assassination attempt that occurred in 2019 on the Lungomare of Vlora, where the target was Inez Hajrulla. The data is for clashes between criminal groups.
The attacks don't stop, Police Chief Proda is asleep
For all these events, the State Police has repeated the same standard copy-paste statement that "the investigative group is working intensively to clarify the circumstances, legal documentation, as well as to identify and capture the perpetrator(s).
After this statement, only the locations of the attacks change, but not Ilir Proda from the leadership of the State Police.
The appointment of Ilir Proda as head of the State Police has been accompanied by strong accusations from the media that the appointment was influenced by criminal groups, but this does not sway the ruling government, which is abetting crime from afar.
