Professor Përparim Kabo has expressed his condolences on the passing of renowned director Dhimitër Anagnosti.
He has described Anagnosti as "the great lighthouse of the sea of film", while thanking him for the art he donated. Touched, Kabo writes: May the philosopher of Albanian cinematography, Dhimitër Anagnosti, be unforgettable.
The professor emphasizes that with his passing, a true art institution has been extinguished.

The great lighthouse of the film sea, our film philosopher Dhimitër Anagnosti, has died. How lucky we were to be contemporaries with him and enjoy his art. The Commissioner of Light, The Silent Duel, The Old Wounds, In Our House, The Mountains Covered in Snow, and further with masterpieces such as Red Flowers on the Walls, A Tale from the Past, The Return of the Dead Army, The Stones of My House, Gjoleka the Son of Abazi. A very interesting story remained a script and later turned into a novel titled: The Cobra from Europe. Dhimitër Anagnosti built extremely organic film figures, far from embellishments like fiction, wonderfully combining the physiognomy and character of the artist with the typology and features of the character. His film defied the claims because he, like few others, combined the image with the play, the episode, the events, and the architectural entirety of the film completely organically.
The Dhimitër Anagnosti institution has passed away. We respectfully bow to you for the art you have given us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time spent in conversations, phone calls and the opportunity for an interview when I wrote the article entitled: "Thank you, our Anagnosti". What a void our "Felini" is leaving behind. Our Sea will be sad from today, the mountains of the south will murmur something in the wind, the olive trees will be silent this autumn. Perhaps now, as an angelic spirit, on other shores of the ethereal seas, you see the remains of the Anagnosti who left for the seas and never returned. How painful it will be from now on that Rose, your rose of life since 1965 that we saw next to you, will meet you without you, the unforgettable philosopher of Albanian cinematography Dhimitër Anagnosti.
With tears in our eyes, let us say, "May you rest in eternal light!"
The Pantheon of the Great awaits you in that peaceful world!
