The former prefect of the Fier region, Baki Bala, has passed away. The news was announced by the family of the deceased, while Bala had been suffering from a serious illness for a long time.
His wife writes that Bala's departure has left a deep void in their hearts and that he will always be remembered as a tireless fighter.
"It is with immense pain that we share the news of the untimely passing of my dear husband and father of our three daughters, Baki Bala. He faced a difficult and rare disease with strength, dignity and hope, teaching us every day what it means to fight with heart and love life even in the most difficult moments."
His departure has left a deep void in our hearts, a pain that words cannot describe.
"He will live forever in our memories and hearts as a noble, smiling, optimistic and tireless warrior, just as he was throughout his life. In the coming days we will announce the details of the funeral ceremony," she writes.
Bala was the prefect of the Fier district from 2017 to 2021. During his life and public activity, Baki Bala was praised for his dedication and correctness in serving citizens, leaving behind a valuable contribution to the management of institutions and the public life of the Fier district.
