
The weather situation is expected to deteriorate significantly from tomorrow until September 2, bringing high-intensity rainfall in several areas of the country. Tirana is also at risk of flooding problems, according to the warning of the Military Meteorological Service.
The acting Mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, has appealed to citizens to be careful in the coming days. “We advise you to avoid unnecessary movements in areas at risk of flooding and to take the necessary measures for your safety and that of your families,” Ristani declared.
According to her, the Municipality's structures and Civil Emergencies are on heightened alert to manage the situation. In any emergency, citizens can call the numbers 112 for civil emergencies, 127 for medical emergencies and 128 for the police.
