Citizens of Lushnja held a protest today in front of the city hospital, demanding the Government's immediate response to meet their demands.
Democratic MP Sajmir Korreshi said that today the citizens held a protest, through which they demand dignity. It is the first protest, of a wave of protests that will continue, said Korreshi, adding that the citizens of Lushnja spoke today, protesting and demanding investments from the government.
Korreshi says that Lushnja has spoken out in protest, demanding a regional hospital with dignified conditions.
'Today Lushnja spoke, the citizens demanded a Regional Hospital with dignified conditions and standards for all of us,' writes Democratic MP Saimir Korreshi in his reaction on social networks.
Several hundred residents of Lushnja joined the protest, but according to the Democratic MP, participation would have been even higher if the Government and its structures had not exerted pressure.
"I have dozens and dozens of messages from citizens expressing support. But they don't come out to protest because this government is threatening them with their livelihoods, with their jobs," said Korreshi.
