Lawyer Spartak Ngjela said that the work done by SPAK to crack down on the corrupt in Albania has been good so far.
Ngjela said that SPAK is run by the US and politics does not have the power to dissolve this justice institution.
" I have no reservations about SPAK so far regarding the justice that SPAK provides, let's see how it will go in the future. Yes, SPAK is not run by us, you have American experts there. SPAK is run by them in the fight against corruption, they have also taken them to courses to create a justice institution that will save us from corruption. Those who are irritated are afraid and when they are afraid, they have the majority and can create access to laws to change them. But the question is, what about Washington? And here everything ends. No one can touch SPAK ," he said.
According to the lawyer, thanks to the work done by SPAK, the level of corruption in the country is decreasing.
"SPAK is stronger than the prime minister, because SPAK also takes the current prime minister as a defendant. It can take him according to the law. Who is the highest body in the judicial power today? It is SPAK and it is run by internationals and paid by them. When it is known with facts that state corruption in the country was high, now it is decreasing and this is because SPAK has done its job ," he said on the show 'Studio Live'.
The lawyer said that the list of senior officials who will be targeted by SPAK is long.
" Former ministers, former mayors are under indictment. So far, SPAK has worked correctly. But for SPAK, we are talking about the prosecution and not the court. Yes, SPAK will strike higher, the list of politicians is long ," he said.
