The opposition decided to enter parliament, according to a decision taken by the DP leadership a few days before the start of the Assembly's proceedings, but for Lisandër Hoxha, former DP candidate for deputy in the May 11 elections, it should not have happened this way.
Hoxha, who has previously publicly expressed his view of not recognizing the elections and thus the parliament, declared in the News24 studio that the DP's political action should take place outside the doors of the Parliament, on the streets.
"They chose a path that was made public by a decision of the Presidency and said they would wage war within the parliament. I have maintained a different public stance, that since we do not recognize the elections, we should not recognize the parliament that emerged from the stolen elections, as citizens did in Serbia and Nepal, as any people whose vote is affected, democracy should do and the political path that the DP would have to follow would be the mobilization of citizens in continuous protests with a demand for a technical government and non-recognition of the results of the May 11 elections, and this would be legitimate.
First, we were consistent with what we declared, we have already revealed that there was brutal state interference in the electoral process and the result was manipulated.
We are in a drug regime, a corruption regime where Prime Minister Rama has appropriated his political power by seizing the system, the elections, and there is no party that can defeat the state apparatus.
"No political force in Albania or around the world, if the state engages all public servants and uses them in violation of the election law, can win because the result is not the will of the citizens but a state machine that devours the elections," said Hoxha.
