Aulon Kalaja has made strong accusations against SPAK, stating that within it there are corrupt prosecutors linked to elements of organized crime.
Kalaja stated that although he has supported SPAK on certain occasions, he has criticized the institution when, according to him, it has not functioned properly.
"I have supported SPAK and I have hit it very hard when it has not done good work. Because there are corrupt prosecutors within SPAK, and now that we are talking about it, you currently have prosecutors who are also connected to organized crime within it," Kalaja declared on A2 CNN.
He added that these statements, according to him, will receive a response very soon through investigations and monitoring carried out by international partners.
"These are statements that I believe will receive answers very soon. We have several investigations, including by internationals who are within SPAK, because they have them, meaning they monitor there. They are people who have their own presence. Especially when it comes to issues that come from the DEA or other agencies that have certain interests with certain countries. There are also very good prosecutors who are qualified, honest, incorruptible and whom I have always saluted," Kalaja continued.
