In short, at the board meeting of the holding company "FINMAN", there was not simply a conflict between partners, but a clash within the Ismailaj family itself.
The media treated it as a banal quarrel between partners. Some wrote that Idajet Ismailaj had raped "the partner's son." Others passed it off as a business conflict for millions of euros within the company "FINMAN."
But the documents show something else. Sokol Agalliu, who was reported today to be receiving treatment in a private hospital after brutal violence by Idajet Ismailaj and his son, is not simply “the partner’s son.” He is Idajet Ismailaj’s nephew.
In public documents at the Central Bank, partners in "FINMAN" include, in addition to Sadik Ismailaj and Idajet Ismailaj, Sadik's two other children, Jonuz Ismailaj and Rajmonda Agalliu (Ismailaj).

So, Rajmonda Agalliu is Idajet Ismailaj's sister. While Sokol Agalliu is her son.
In short, at the board meeting of the holding company "FINMAN", there was not simply a conflict between partners, but a clash within the Ismailaj family itself.
“FINMAN” is not an ordinary company. It is one of the most powerful groups in Albania in the field of public funds in construction.
Through "FINMAN", the Ismailaj family controls "AlbStar", "Manastiri Resort", "Arena Center", "ASAB", "AM Rentals", "AOS", "ANGS", "Fintrade", "Prodev", "Motus" and a network of other companies that for years have appeared in almost every major public project, from roads and tourist resorts to hydroelectric power plants and concessions.
"AlbStar" alone has benefited from over 100 million euros in public tenders, a significant portion from the Albanian Development Fund and the Albanian Agency for Regional Development.
The group's name has been associated over the years with the much-discussed "Manastiri Resort" project in the Butrint area, with the change in the boundaries of the protected park and the concreting of the Manastiri Bay area.
Apparently, where millions, resorts, stadiums, towers, and public projects are shared, today there is talk of fistfights, threats, and accusations of theft of hundreds of millions of lek within the family itself.
Reports say that the conflict erupted after Sokol Agalliu accused Idajet Ismailaj and his son of embezzling funds and property within the company.
The problem is not simply who is right in this family conflict. If the uncle or nephew, brother or sister among Sadik Ismailaj's children is to blame, this must be clarified by the relevant bodies and the truth must be seen to the end. Especially when in such stories there is always the possibility that the parties will aggravate or dramatize each other's positions within the struggle for wealth and control.
But what remains worrying is the fact that major public projects, strategic properties, tourist resorts, and millions of euros of public money have been concentrated in the hands of groups that are today tearing each other apart, even within the family itself.
Development, public-private partnerships and public funds should be entrusted to serious investors, with standards of management and integrity, not family empires that explode in accusations of theft among each other, in conflicts over money, property and power. / GazetaJonë
