Analyst Mentor Nazarko commented on the role of US President Donald Trump in relation to Albanian interests.
Invited to the "Off the Record" show on A2CNN, Nazarko stated that Albania has a "management debt" to allies and multinational organizations, especially in the context of sensitive decisions such as the admission of the Iranians of the MEK, which according to him have exposed the country in the international arena.
In his analysis, he suggested that Trump, also due to his background as a builder and entrepreneur, has had concrete interactions with Albanians, hinting at a direct interest in the region.
" Is this Trump good for Albanian interests or not? Let's look at some of his good things, and let's look at the explanations for internal American reasons, where America is forced, China is growing, America needed a conflict. It is the debt that we (Albania) must pay to multinational organizations and allies that we have taken on those Iranians, this has exposed us. I think that Trump, in his cooperation as a builder, has dealt with the Albanians. The fight against the status quo is like that. The status quo has not produced the closure of international conflicts. He has achieved something, this has even lied to him to go and think that a dictatorial regime like Iran could close it so quickly. He started from a premise of success. If we forget this, besides unconsciously aligning ourselves with those countries... To simply put the magnifying glass on the negative things of what is happening... 1999 when Yugoslavia was bombed, chapter 7 was violated of the UN, so we should leave this reference to international law ," Nazarko said.
