The body of a 25-year-old Albanian man, a resident of Santa Vittoria d'Alba in Cuneo, Italy, was found dead on Friday afternoon (February 20, 2026).
A passing driver noticed his presence near a black Lancia Ypsilon car, most likely owned by the victim, and raised the alarm.
Authorities have not confirmed this, but according to Italian media he was killed by a bullet to the head. The gun was not found at the scene, so there is no doubt that it was a murder. This hypothesis is also supported by the fact that the body was found partially covered in sand.
The investigations are being carried out by Carabinieri officers and the investigative unit of the Cuneo provincial command, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of the Asti Prosecutor's Office.
The latter has ordered an autopsy on the body, which will be performed on Saturday. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
