Besmir Limani, the "unique" fan of the Albanian national team and known as the "eagle face" spoke from Vlora, from where he predicted a 3-1 result for Albania against Serbia.
The Albanian from Struga, who lives in Switzerland, has "painted" his face red and black for today's challenge, as he does in every match, wearing sneakers with the flag printed on them, and a t-shirt that says 'Veç fascik', with 'gegë' and 'toskë' printed on both sides.
He says that there have been 52 matches, since the Switzerland-Albania match years ago, that have been played at the red and black stadium. He says that since he was little he has been passionate about football and that the idea to wear red and black was born when the match between Switzerland and Albania took place years ago.
" Today is the 52nd match, special because I was lucky enough to come to Vlora. Even more happy and appreciated by the municipality that I had the right to enter the house where the oath was taken and everything was created to keep this beautiful flag that we have colored. I entered like this in September 2012 at the Switzerland-Albania match ," said the fan.
He says that victory should be considered, while also making a prediction about how the result will turn out tonight.
" If we want the best for the Albanians in America and if we want to visit them at the 2026 World Cup, we have to put everything aside, even though it's not easy. But we have to win tonight, we support you with what we can. Let everything go well and I believe they will be very happy, especially the children in America. We only care about three points and nothing else. Even though it's not easy at all, with all the circumstances.
I have said in the past, I got the reputation that I am connected to the sticks. I believe that 3-1 will come out for us. As I said, I live in Switzerland, since the '97s. The idea was born while watching the national team on TV when I was little. I remember the famous Germany-Albania match when they beat us 4-3. I am originally from Struga, when someone doesn't let you want something, it becomes all the more attractive. The idea was born knowing that Albania-Switzerland would be played. I was thinking about how to take the flag with me, don't forget it here and I decided to paint my face. " I am not only from Struga. As much as I am from Pristina, I am from Vlora, as much as I am from Delvina, I am also from Tuzi. That is why I have Tosk and Gheg here, we have no division when it comes to the issue of the flag and the nation. Regardless of political or religious beliefs, we are one, " he said.
Besmir, with the red and black colors and the flag on his face, has become a symbol of all Albanians for years. From Vlora, he will head to Tirana to support the National Team in a match that he considers historic and special for all Albanians.
