Milan is working to build a younger and more dynamic midfield for the future, and one of the names that has sparked particular interest within the club's ranks is Ardon Jashari, the 22-year-old midfielder of Albanian origin and Swiss passport, who plays for Club Brugge.
Jashari, who was transferred from Lucerne in the summer of 2024 for 7 million euros plus bonuses, has exploded in his first season in the Belgian championship, being declared the best player of the season and at the same time the most promising talent.
Renowned Belgian journalist, Sasha Tavolieri, an expert on the transfer market and Belgian football, has given a very positive assessment of Jashari:
" Jashari is a very strong midfielder. He can directly replace Reijnders in the middle of the field. He is even more complete than Reijnders when the latter arrived at Milan from AZ Alkmaar. He has a great ability to anticipate and interrupt moves, manages the ball well and understands exactly when to push forward, becoming almost a number 10 when the team attacks ."
Tavolieri also adds that Jashari is immediately ready for the starting lineup, as he is psychologically and technically prepared, and reads the game faster than most players in his position.
However, negotiations will not be easy. Club Brugge is asking for over 30 million euros for his card, a high price, but not unusual for the Belgian club, known for its strong stance in negotiations (suffice it to recall the De Ketelare case).
Finally, Tavolieri concludes:
" Jashari is very interested in joining Milan and is working with the club to make this transfer happen. He loves the idea of wearing the red and black jersey and I am convinced that he would excel in Milan ."
Another Albanian name on the great horizon of European football and perhaps, soon, even in the heart of "San Siro".
