Skanderbeg is no longer alone, the Montenegrin team is banned from European

Skënderbeg is no longer alone in the longest-running match-fixing ban in world football. UEFA announced today that it has also banned Montenegrin club Arsenal Tivat from its competitions for 10 years for match-fixing in international competitions, while also taking measures against the managers and players involved.

The matches in question for which Arsenal Tivat were accused were those of the Conference League qualifying round in July 2023 against Alashkert. Arsenal Tivat drew the first leg 1-1 in Armenia and then lost 6-1 at home in the return leg, in a duel in which they conceded two goals in extra time at the end of the match.

UEFA did not provide details on the method of match-fixing or the figures involved, but it did clarify that the club in question would be banned until after the 2034-2035 season, and would also pay a fine of 500,000 euros.

Sports director Ranko Krgović and player Nikola Čelebić were suspended for life, while three other players were suspended for 10 years: Cetko Manojlović, Dušan Puletić and Radule Zivković.

Two officials from Serbian club Radnički Obrenovac were also suspended: Milan Vignjevic for 10 years and Goran Janjušević for six years. Another person, Kristos Psomiadis, was suspended for eight years.
