
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has sent a letter of thanks to the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, after organizing for the first time the UEFA Executive Committee meeting and the School Football Festival that took place this week in Tirana.
In his letter, the head of the European football government appreciates the hospitality and commitment of the Albanian Football Association in this organization, describing it as an unforgettable experience for the members of the Executive Committee and UEFA ambassadors.
“ Let me express my heartfelt thanks for the warm hospitality and perfect organisation during the UEFA Executive Committee meeting and the School Football Festival this week in Tirana. It was a real pleasure for UEFA to cooperate with your Federation – not only to advance our common goals in the development of football, but also to experience the true spirit of Tirana ,” President Ceferin wrote.
He emphasizes that the energy of the Albanian capital, the hospitality and the detailed organization left great impressions on all participants:
“ The city’s vibrant energy, rich history and welcoming spirit left an indelible impression on the Executive Committee members, ambassadors and senior leaders. Your personal dedication was evident in every detail and I want to sincerely thank you for your tireless commitment .”
In particular, the UEFA President also appreciates the involvement of children and schools in the School Football Festival, describing it as a unique and inspiring moment:
“ The involvement of local schools and your staff in the festival was exemplary – full of joy, pride and a deep love for the game. It was more than an event; it was a celebration of community and culture .”
The letter closes with a warm thank you to President Duka and the Albanian hospitality:
" Thank you, Armand. Tirana opened its heart to us and we will carry this warmth with us ."
