French star Kylian Mbappe received a brand new BMW made for him through Los Blancos' partnership with the car company, but he still can't drive it on the roads of Spain.
Specifically, the Madrid team and BMW renewed their partnership this year, which includes the provision of new vehicles to all members of the first team, as announced through the team's social networks.
The "Merenges" decided to give the players a special gift like every year, giving them the opportunity to choose the model they prefer, but also to personalize it with a plaque bearing their name.
Among the recipients, of course, was Kylian Mbappe, who settled in Madrid last year after his transfer from PSG. The French star chose a luxury BMW model, from the I7 series, in black and with an interior designed exclusively for him.
The funny thing is that Mbappe doesn't have a driver's license, which means he can't drive his new car for the time being. His teammates, however, didn't fail to tease him, telling him that " he has the most impressive BMW in the parking lot, but he'll need a driver ."
" For some it's necessary, but for me it's never been a priority ," Real Madrid's top scorer this year has previously stated.
Due to his career at the highest level in Europe from a very young age, the French star "didn't have time" to get his license, as has been said in previous years. When he was at PSG, the club offered him help with his license, but he declined it as it was not considered necessary.
This move comes as a continuation of the club's philosophy to promote innovation and sustainability, combining luxury and ecological awareness, with Mbappe this time not playing the main role on the field, but at the... wheel, but he will definitely need a license.
