Midfielder Luis Hasa has decided to represent the Albanian National Team, giving up on Italy. The news was reported by Italian media outlet “ Goal ”, while official confirmation from the player himself or the Albanian Football Federation is still awaited.
The 22-year-old, who is owned by Napoli, is having a positive season on loan at Carrara in Serie B, where he has attracted attention with his performances.
The decision to change national team was made possible by the fact that Hasa has not made his debut in any official match with the Italian first team. He has been a regular part of Italy's junior teams, from U-18 to U-21, but has chosen to represent Albania, based on his family origin.
Although born in Italy, Hasa has had early contacts with Albanian structures since the age of 15. This development comes at a delicate moment for the Rossoneri, after their elimination in the play-off phase against Poland in Warsaw.
The talent born in 2004 is seen as one of the promising elements that can strengthen the midfield of the Albanian National Team in the future.
