Gymnast from the Philippines, Carlos E. Yulo , not only won a gold medal at this summer's Olympics, but he also won an apartment.
The 24-year-old made history as the first men's Olympic medalist in Philippine history. After the first one, he "stole" the second golden one, thus holding up the flag of his country in Paris.
He is only the second athlete from the Philippines to achieve this feat. Hidilyn Diaz won the first gold medal at the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020" for weightlifting.
On August 1, Philippine real estate company Megaworld announced that it would give each of the country's Paris Olympians who returned with a gold medal, a two-bedroom apartment in the company's McKinley Hill township.
McKinley Hill is the largest apartment building company in Taguig City and the apartment that will be given to the athlete is valued at 24,000,000 Philippine pesos or $414,046. Taguig is a coastal city and is considered a major center in the Philippines.
Not only that, Yulo will be given a check that exceeds the figure of 170 thousand dollars. For athletes in the Philippines, this occasion will surely motivate them even more.
