Albania U-19 women's team drew 2-2 against Montenegro in the first match of the second round of the European Championship for this age group. The match, held this afternoon at the "House of Football", produced emotions until the last minutes.
The team led by coach Daniela Kodra appeared with this formation: Helshani in goal, while Hysa, Nika, Kadiolli, Bajramaj, Vata, Bushati, Ago (captain), Stalaj, Reci and Leka lined up in defense and midfield.
The first 45 minutes ended with Montenegro leading 0-1. The only goal of this half was scored by Dresaj in the 29th minute. Albania created several scoring opportunities, but failed to convert them.
In the second half, the Red and Blacks appeared more demanding and took control of the game. The equalizer came in the 72nd minute, when Gelda Kadiolli scored a spectacular goal directly from a corner kick.
In the 90th minute, Albania overturned the score thanks to a powerful long-range shot by Bora Bushati, taking a 1-2 lead.
However, the lead was short-lived. Montenegro reacted immediately and in the 92nd minute managed to equalize, sealing the final score at 2-2.
In the other group match, Turkey won convincingly 6-0 against Liechtenstein at the Egnatia Arena.
Albania will face Turkey in the second match on April 12, at 3:00 PM, again at the “House of Football.” The match will be broadcast live on FSHF TV.
