Simeone avoids shaking hands with Hansi Flick, Atletico coach runs after the match ends

After the match ended, Atletico coach Diego Simeone immediately left the pitch. As soon as the referee signaled the end of the match, the Argentine coach quickly headed towards the locker room, an action that is now considered part of his post-match routine.

Simeone did not stop to greet after the match and did not have contact with Barcelona coach Hansi Flick, skipping the traditional handshake between coaches.

The victory gives Atletico a significant advantage heading into the return leg, which will take place at the Metropolitano Stadium. However, it remains to be seen whether this lead will be enough to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
