Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has announced that Jurgen Klopp has agreed to take over as Germany's national team coach. "Klopp is back," writes the Italian journalist, known for his accurate reporting.
According to sources, Klopp has given the green light to take over the “Die Mannschaft” project. The details of the long-term contract, the structure of the project and the issue of his exit from the RB group are still in final negotiations, but the decision in principle has been made. RB Leipzig are considering Oliver Glasner as a possible replacement, although Glasner has already signed with Nottingham Forest.

Klopp, who left Liverpool in May 2024 after a successful spell, returns to the national team bench for the first time in his career. His name was strongly linked with Germany, especially after the failure at Euro 2024 and the need for an energetic return of the national team.
Official details are now awaited from the German Football Federation (DFB) regarding the duration of the contract and the objectives of the new project with Klopp at the helm.
