Recent reports from Greece link Albanian national team midfielder Juljan Shehu with a possible transfer to AEK Athens during the summer transfer window.
According to Greek media outlet “ sport-fm.gr ”, AEK coach Marko Nikolic has placed the 27-year-old Albanian at the top of his wish list for a midfield reinforcement. The interest comes despite the fact that Shehu is currently with Polish club Widzew Lodz and has a contract until the summer of 2028.
Shehu is primarily known for his role as a defensive midfielder, but throughout his career he has shown great tactical flexibility, playing successfully as a central or attacking midfielder. It is this ability to cover several positions in midfield that is said to have made him one of the Serbian coach's most popular targets.
According to data from the Transfermarkt portal, the value of the Albanian footballer's card is estimated at around 3.5 million euros.
However, up to this stage there is no official confirmation of negotiations between the parties. It remains to be seen whether this is just an interest reported by the Greek media or whether AEK Athens will take concrete steps to transfer Juljan Shehu in the coming weeks.
