The President of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) praises the performance of African teams at the World Cup and says that Albania would have performed better than Tunisia in its group.
The President of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF), Armand Duka, was invited to the show "L'America" on TV Klan, where he analyzed the performance of the participating teams in the World Cup and shared his thoughts on the main contenders of the tournament.
According to Duka, one of the most interesting elements of this World Cup has been the good performance of the African teams. However, he believes that the trophy will end up in Europe again.
" There may be some differences from the last World Cup. Now only Infantino can see two matches a day. What is special is the African teams that have made a good performance. With the game I saw yesterday, it makes me doubt that England could be a contender. Maybe it's fast, but theoretically France has great potential. I think the World Cup will come to Europe ," said Duka.
The head of the Albanian Football Association also focused on Albania's absence from the final tournament, recalling the special atmosphere experienced during the European Championship in Germany. He said that if the Rossoneri had qualified, they could have achieved better results than some of the participating teams.
" What we experienced with the team in Germany has been wonderful. While in Mexico and Canada the atmosphere is a little more diffuse. At every ceremony, when I see the flags placed on the field, I say to myself: if only our flag was here. Now it's easy to talk when we're not part of it. But in the group we would be in, with the Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia, I think we would do something better than Tunisia. Even better than Sweden, despite the fact that they won a match with Tunisia ," said Duka.
The President of the AFF emphasized that Albania continues to aim to participate in the most important international competitions, while appreciating the potential that the Albanian national team has shown in recent years.
