Fisnik Asllani's name is attracting more and more attention in the European football market. The Hoffenheim striker, who is having an impressive season with high-level performances and statistics, is reportedly being monitored by some of the continent's biggest clubs, including Barcelona.
Amidst the speculation surrounding his future, the Kosovo international has spoken out publicly for the first time. In an interview with Sky Sport in Germany, Asllani openly expressed his ambitions, hinting that he is ready for an important step in his career.
Asked about the possibility of playing in the Champions League, he said:
" The Champions League is every footballer's dream. It's an incredible feeling to play in that competition. Even when I see it on TV and hear the anthem, my body trembles ."
He added that this desire is also related to personal experiences:
" I've always followed the Champions League with my father. Playing there one day is a big goal for me, a dream I've had since childhood ."
These statements are interpreted as a clear signal that the player intends to transfer to a club that competes in the European elite, with Barcelona mentioned as one of the possible options.
Meanwhile, his agent, Ajman Dahmani, has previously confirmed contacts with the Catalan club, stating that Barcelona's interest is concrete at this stage.
