Recently, there was talk of interest from Milan, who were ready to make a move to secure the midfielder's signature.
But Xhaka himself, from the Swiss national team, has clarified his situation, as well as the statement that caused a stir in the Basel match where he spoke to the fans about Taulant's departure, promising that another Xhaka would soon join this team.
"There are no shortage of rumors, some of which I have actually added myself, talking about a possible return to Basel, undoubtedly lighting up the atmosphere in the stadium. But I still have three years of contract in Leverkusen, my family and I are happy here. Football is unpredictable, it's true, although I now say I will stay. The future is all up for writing," said Xhaka.
