Polish club Lech Poznan has handed him a symbolic fine for the incident that occurred in the Champions League match against Crvena Zvezda.

UEFA decided to punish the Polish club with only 50 thousand euros.

During that match, Lech Poznan fans unfurled a banner with chauvinistic and insulting content against the state of Kosovo, causing harsh reactions.

The footage spread rapidly on social media, while fans and other well-known sports and political figures demanded severe punitive measures from UEFA, recalling cases where similar incidents have been penalized with stadium closures or much heavier financial penalties.

The 50,000 euro sanction is considered too low and disproportionate to the nature of the violation, being seen as a precedent that does not discourage discriminatory acts in stadiums.

Partizan Belgrade was also fined €17,500 for displaying the provocative banner "Kosovo is Serbia"

In addition, the Serbian team was also fined for objects thrown onto the field, lasers and fireworks, as well as a partial closure of the stadium.
